EnKORDAttack?
The American withdrew because he was ill in Winston-Salem, the race against time began.
Not really enough to be confident about for Korda before starting this Grand Slam, he played really well for his return to competition but I'm worried about his condition especially in a long format. It's already not easy to continue after a return from a long injury but here he combines GC + illness, poor guy, needless to say there's a high risk of seeing him collapse as the match progresses. And that's where we like Norrie, this British sander is good at making his opponents crack. Even if he too is not physically a guarantee, he has the advantage of being fresh and fit, in a first round he should be able to hold his own and if he's the one who collapses before Korda there's a big problem on his side. In the game I much prefer Korda, easier to serve and simply better, he knows how to do everything while Norrie has to struggle to win points, but well in this match in particular it is the profile of the British player that I like the most for the reasons mentioned above. From there to trust him? Why not, this season he responds present on the GC (except in Australia where physically he was in the street). Mentally also he is a guy who loves these fights..
