Small but tough!
1m75 and 1m73 for our two champions of the day
Mochizuki is coming out of the qualifiers, I love his style of play, it's different and fun to watch. He's not tall but he's brave, he doesn't hesitate to come and take the net often, he's annoying to play and in pretty good shape this year. We haven't seen him in many tournaments yet but it won't be long, he's getting closer to the top 100. So he arrives in this first round with three wins under his belt, maximum confidence and a good first round... Because beating Gaston when you've qualified is a great opportunity especially given the Frenchman's form. When he's really focused and involved, he's not a player we want to face but right now it's catastrophic. Not a win on hard courts to prepare for this tournament, straight defeats, Gaston who can water at any moment and sell out, we know him. But we know him so well that we know that it doesn't mean much with him, at any moment he arrives ultra focused and determined to bring out the big game for us. And I would like to because this match has crazy potential, we can see crazy points! I think that Gaston's profile is good against Mochizuki's in addition, he has what it takes to defend and he is good at lobbing/passing our Frenchman, it's ideal I think. So yeah it's hard, if not impossible, to bet on him at the moment because he gives no guarantees..
