Should we analyze?
The Goffin/Halys match was perhaps the worst of the tournament, qualifying included. But there was a reason for that...
The reason is that Goffin is terrible at the moment. He's roasted, and not confident at all. Some somewhat questionable movements, some good sequences where he really got wet. In short, I think he'll already be very happy to have snatched a victory here. Especially since on the other side, I've been saying it since the beginning of the tournament: I like Musetti here. This match is perfect to give him more confidence after his match against Gio. He defends the steel, makes him move, has practiced his serve/return well with his doubles matches. The matchup could suit the Belgian with his game which can be very disruptive (in mode against Zverev in Shanghai, he counters well from the baseline and when he can he changes the rhythm, takes early, and comes to the net). But given his level, I think he's going to suffer. My bet is all found.
