The survivors
Trailing 2-0 against Cerundolo, Riedi got through it just like Majchzrak who saved 5 match points against Khacha
Mentally, these two players have great resources, they absolutely did not steal their victory, for me they were the best players on the court. Riedi stands out with a great quality of service and an enormous power from the baseline, he attacks hard and takes his chances. Majchzrak is more subtle and hardworking, he builds his points but really does not hesitate to come and finish at the net too, I find him a little more tense on the court however. I have the impression that Riedi is having fun and making the most of his chance, which will put additional pressure on Majchzrak's shoulders. The Pole is a little more experienced however, he has already made a small breakthrough at Wimbledon and is not discovering all this, he validates. That does not mean that Riedi is going to collapse, as I said he plays his chance bravely and does not seem to be taken by the pressure and the stakes. This will be a first confrontation between these two players and I am leaning towards Riedi with the game in hand most of the time, in any case it is the best strategy to adopt because in the exchange of the bottom I do not see him better.
