Which version will Atmane appear as?

Atmane was relatively unknown just a while back, before putting his name on the map during a magical recent Cincinnati run. Sadly, we have not seen him play since then; he had an "intermediate grade partial tearing of the MCL" and therefore had to pull out of the US Open. I was only able to find media/sponsor clips of him since then, so it's a big unknown as to what shape he will turn up in for his first match. Prizmic has been very dominant on the CH tour for a while now, but has yet to make a significant impact on the main tour. He is getting a few wins, so it's not terrible... but when he comes up against an experienced / stronger player, it still feels like a really uphill battle. He lost to Rublev in straight sets in the first round of the US Open after qualifying, and he also lost the Davis Cup match at home on indoor clay about a week ago, against the crafty Moutet.

Atmane has had great success on the CH tour on Asian Outdoor Hardcourt... the fast and low-bouncing conditions are great for him! Prizmic has never really played in these conditions in this part of the world, so Atmane certainly has a significant experience advantage in this match. And I don't think the matchup is great for Prizmic either; it'll be hard to extend rallies in these fast conditions with Atmane's aggressiveness. In the end, the big question is mainly about how many % of himself Atmane will be here. We could see him being a bit cautious, trying to protect his knee, which is often the case after MCL injuries. So, maybe not the same intensity as usual, and a greater vulnerability to sudden changes in direction. I think it's worth keeping in mind that this is the first of three tournaments in China (Chengdu, Beijing, and Shanghai), and it's also the "smallest" one, a 250. So yes, Atmane will be eager to play here, but it also makes sense for him to ease himself in here. And if he is unable to finish points as fast as usual due to the aforementioned precautions, could that open a door for Prizmic here?
