I like Kovacevic but I'm worried about him.

I've been selling Kovacevic to you for a few years now and it must be said that sometimes he can play really well! But he never has a full season, he performs well right-handed left-handed then generally fades away quite violently. This is still the case after a great final in Los Cabos at the start of the American tour then he won two very sluggish matches against 5 defeats. He struggles a little with his serve, more doubles than usual and a less reliable forehand too, it's slight but it was the case. I don't know if he'll find his level for this tournament but I'm still really left with a bad impression. Do I want to back Nardi for all that? Personally I don't like the Italian, I can't figure him out and I have the impression that he's terrible except when he's LL! He had a good tournament in Cincinnati then he got destroyed against Machac in the US, the trend is rather on his side in the last matches I think. But I remember him back last year right here and the guy took 0 and 2 against Marozsan.. (for his defense Marozsan on fire is unplayable, but still). Conditions rather fast with an average bounce, no real advantage I find and the match up is quite contested, I trust Nardi on the long exchanges while the short channel is rather for Kovacevic
