The Frenchie in shape

Royer has been playing particularly well lately and finally seems to be exploding like he deserves!

Well-executed qualifications, a status assumed and good Royer who continues his momentum! He has really reached a milestone in his game but also in his head, my only fear is about his physique.. He had a shoulder problem against Shapovalov at the US Open and just took a MTO against Spizziri in the second set during the qualifications. I have no idea if this MTO concerns his shoulder but I prefer to be careful. It's a shame because in everything else I find him above Kovacevic currently. I was already looking to lay the American against Nardi and Royer maintains characteristics a little similar to those of the Italian in his baseline game but with a little more guarantee on the level he should offer tomorrow. I like his solid baseliner game but capable of countering against this type of player! I'm not going to redo the whole analysis on Kovacevic because nothing has changed on his side, he's not in great shape and serves less well than usual, nothing very encouraging even if we know he's capable of raising his voice in certain tournaments in particular.
