Winner of this tournament in 2022 but also winner of the Laver Cup a few days ago, Fritz arrives with some great matches.

Victory over Alcaraz and Zverev, yes it's ONLY the Laver Cup but I assure you that Fritz played at a huge level quite simply. Before that he played in the Davis Cup, beat Mensik and lost against a burning Lehecka, I don't have much negative to say about Fritz and I think he's one of the most serious players on the circuit so the guy can handle a long trip and a lack of preparation unlike some players who were there. And he's going to need to be at full speed right away because Diallo is waiting for him firmly and wants his revenge after a big defeat in Toronto at home in horrible conditions and a dead heat. Quite a bit of wind and a slow night session, two elements that worked against Diallo and in the end the Canadian wasn't really able to get into his match while at Wimbledon he had caused big problems for Fritz. With his quality of service he is hard to beat for many players and it is quite fast here anyway, I am counting on him to scratch a few games more easily, normally that should be the case. I do not necessarily want to lay Fritz but as usual it is an R1 against a potentially dangerous player, the values are possibly on the side of the outsider once again here
