To be between two stools
I have arguments on both sides of this meeting and they all hold together.
I saw a bunch of bets on Bergs outsider today, Elie managed to get him at 2.25 and now he's around 2.00 (and it's moving a lot). The idea is simple: lay Tabilo after his long week in Hangzhou (and the one before that as a challenger too). Well, the odds are already perfect, but now at 2.00, do we still want to go for it? Historically, Tabilo can't keep up after big weeks, I even want to say that for a good part of last season he was completely burned out and simply couldn't even play anymore. He played a lot over a short period and obviously after this title he doesn't care about not performing well in Tokyo, but on the other hand, he's full of confidence and will play very relaxed without the pressure of the result. He's also coming back from injury, he hasn't played much this year and maybe he's fresher than other seasons so his usual backlash might not exist this time.. In any case I'm very wary of him. What also scares me is Bergs' level at the moment too, the Belgian played a good set against Shang last week and that's it, the rest I didn't like. Too messy. He also took an MTO for an adductor problem (but didn't seem to be too bothered at the end of his match). Let's say that with his current level he makes me absolutely not want to back him and even less against a Tabilo in form. I can't decide, I see the two probable scenarios namely: Bergs is useless who gives the solo match and fucks everyone or just a roasted Tabilo who has no juice..
