Yoshihito in Quest

Nishioka is having a rough season so far, but the Asian tour could give him a chance to do something, things are going quickly with him.

Quite a few first-round defeats in this tournament for Nishioka, but some great fights and not easy first rounds. I don't want to be too hard on him on that point. Then we have terrible form with another withdrawal in the challenger recently, but apparently it was cramps and he especially seemed to be mentally out of the game. It's not the first time, he only plays when he wants to. Then he had a good match against Struff, his best in a long time, and he's the one who says so. He's quite positive in his statements and seems ready for this tournament. He's facing a profile that's a bit annoying for him, however, because Darderi is a good server and a powerful player. His stats on hard courts are not very flattering, but he's improving on them and knows that in the long term, to be among the top players, he has to perform well on them. He's also tending to be more offensive. I like his profile against Nishioka and he's in good shape, he won a challenger on clay then last week lost against Tabilo, behind the Chilean takes the title so good.. But he's still a little soft on the surface it's true, and news we have a match that could turn in Nishioka's favor if the Japanese manages to make him play enough until he suffocates him. Nishioka also said that he had a small advantage on these courts since he played the Davis Cup on them, it's slight but we take it. I'm not that far ahead after this analysis though
