Self-control
Very different management of emotions between these two players, and also opposite playing styles.
They both lost to Tabilo last week, Nakashima won two matches before that and to be honest it was good. I found him a little less good in some matches recently but this one was good, he is really diligent on his service games and applied in each rally, he is a safe bet. I don't really like it when he gets attacked and taken power like against Tabilo for example, but there is also the opposite extreme against players too solid from the baseline for him where he struggles. And Thompson falls into the second category with a mix of forward play, the Australian comes to the net a lot but he is a fine defender/blocker too, he slices quite well, is low on the supports when making play, he absorbs the opponent's power well. This mix can help him to annoy Nakashima who is a little robotic in his game, seeing him against this special rhythm does not thrill me enormously even if historically he leads H2H. I don't have much else to add so let's check out the odds!
