The Bonz is back!

After playing some of the best tennis of her life on the American tour, Bonz is playing again against a guy whose style she doesn't like at all, but who isn't in good shape. What's the point?

Indeed, we're starting to get to know Bonz well, and he doesn't like to be rushed. Three matches this season that come to mind immediately: the one against Kecmanovic in Adelaide (Kecma was playing very aggressively at the time), the one against Marozsan in Washington, and the one against Giron at the US Open. It's simple: when he's in this configuration, the quality of his tennis takes a hit because he doesn't have the defensive or counter-attacking quality to allow him to wait for the right moment to turn the situation around and play his aggressor game. He then makes some somewhat unusual mistakes, or at least normal ones in this context. Except that since then, two things have changed: Bonz is much better at maintaining his best level throughout a match, and the Hungarian isn't in a good period. He really didn't play well on almost the entire American tour, and once again, he crashed in the Davis Cup. I put his Davis Cup into perspective because he generally plays badly, but how does he react afterward? Well, generally, he loses right after (I went back to 2023, 4 defeats and a victory right after a Davis Cup match). Can we create a theorem? It would be a misunderstanding of sports betting, but we can find meaning in it: loss of confidence, a sequence with another time zone and other playing conditions... Knowing that the guy played at home in Hungary! Another parameter: the Beijing balls which make the conditions slower (to be confirmed, but Beijing is not very fast anyway). So La Bonz will have a little more time to organize. So?
