Revenge!
Daniil's defeat to Norrie at Roland Garros brings together everything that's wrong with the Russian's season. Will it serve as a shock?
That's what I think indeed. Daniil has been playing better since his return. And he doesn't get angry anymore. For me, he's never really lost his tennis. He lacks the confidence to close out his matches and be stronger in the money time, but he's working hard for that. His rating seems quite low, yes. But I repeat a good matchup for him on slow outdoor hard courts, against a Norrie who is often disappointing in very big tournaments. The Briton fell against a very good Zhou last week, but it was up to him to raise his level of play I think, and especially to be more deadly in the important points. So I see this as a perfect opportunity for Daniil to avenge his traumatic defeat at Roland Garros.
