The Americano
Fritz is the favorite against his compatriot Korda, but it's a match!
Indeed, I see a nice match for two reasons: Fritz is not at his best in this tournament, he dropped a set in the first round and was broken several times against Borges in a match that he dominated but did not kill. Opposite Korda had a somewhat complicated start to the tournament, especially against Giron, then after that he calmed Shimabukuro but nothing exceptional, I expect more but since his return I am convinced. He serves particularly well and wins quite a few matches, he has what it takes to hold his service games and why not put pressure on the return. The problem is that Fritz may not be at his best level at the moment, but he is still hard to beat, his serve helps him a lot and more generally his general level is high. A bad day is compensated by stable and composed tennis, he wins matches by playing badly and suddenly he raises his level. So I'm very careful, after two complicated rounds he could well wake up and then Korda hasn't had opponents of his caliber against him yet. Fritz leads 2/1 in the H2H but the last confrontation was won by Korda.
