Ruud is looking for a big end to the season to save some of the furniture this year

It's better for Ruud who has just taken out Berrettini and is on a two-game winning streak. The first set was very close and hard-fought, but after that there was no match, physically Berrettini collapsed. Throughout the first set, Ruud was rushing to ask for his towel after each long point and didn't seem as physically calm as that. If he loses the first set and there's a three-set fight, I'm curious to see what it would have been like against another player. And the answer to this question could well come in the next round against Vukic. The Australian is almost a Wish version of Berrettini: big serve, lethal forehand and pusher backhand. On the other hand, physically he's much stronger this season and more confident too. He's having a great tournament and confirming his return to form. I find him dangerous. He already beat Ruud in Shanghai last year, by the way. Nothing to get excited about either, but it's true that he currently seems like a good outsider to try, and despite Ruud's good match, I still have some reservations about him.
