Unable to Handle the Intensity?
What changes can Ugo Carabelli make...?
Because Ugo Carabelli is coming off a match against Fokina, where he got absolutely destroyed... 6-1, 6-3. Fokina was able to play extremely aggressively due to the lack of power from the other side of the court. As expected, the post-clay hardcourt season has been tough for Carabelli. Only a win against a very "washed" Nishikori. He's also been dealing with a right leg issue for a while now. After having a great season, I don't think it's fully crazy to believe that he is just "going through the stages" at the later part of the year, especially since it's all on hardcourt. And for Atmane, the complete opposite is true. It was just recently, in Cincinnati, that he put his name on the map... now it's the time to finish the year strong in conditions where he has already had a lot of success at the Challenger level. Already a great run in Beijing, even taking a set off Sinner, before cramping. We know how Atmane plays, ultra-aggressive... so what is stopping him from delivering a beatdown like Fokina did? Honestly, only himself having a very bad day or fatigue/injury. I think you can see where I'm going with this one...
