In today's tennis where serve-volley and forward play are less prevalent, Thompson and Holmgrem are the strongest players. We know Thomson much better, he is a doubles ace and has an exceptional hand. But Holmgrem is a surprising player that we saw at Wimbledon this season in particular, he relies heavily on his serve and net play. We're going to see a lot of short points and in this short game Thompson is definitely better already. Then I've already seen the Australian completely neutralize a guy like Mpetshi on several occasions, he returns well and I think Holmgrem will have fewer free points than usual. After that, he's coming out of qualifying and obviously he's dangerous with his game, Thompson can get frustrated on his own and take time to find the solution but basically I see him naturally good against this type of player precisely!
