Yeah, that was a promising match against Fritz in Tokyo—Diallo looks like he’s on the comeback trail. He’s got exactly the kind of game that really pisses off Bonz, with that constant aggression. It worked against Opelka for our Frenchie, but the American didn’t play well and was worn out—got broken 3 times in two sets and faced plenty of break points. Here, Diallo can hang in the rallies longer and wait for the right moment to pull the trigger. It bugs me, because I really liked Bonzi’s performance too. He’s got Constant Lestienne coaching him in Shanghai, aka the magician. That could help him deconstruct Diallo’s game. But maybe just 2–3 tricks like that, because that’s not really the Bonz’s DNA. On the flip side, he’s talking to him every 10 seconds with constant encouragement, and it feels like it’s giving the Frenchman good energy. So I’ll have to decide based on the odds. From a distance, I’d have Diallo as the favorite at 1.50...
