Félix on a roll?

yeah, that would be a shame indeed ;). We were expecting him to be a bit off against Tabilo after his wedding, but nope! I can’t really picture him going on a massive bender three days in a row anyway. And his first wedding at the start of the year had some great effects on his mindset. Tennis-wise, everything’s there. He smothered Tabilo with his movement and especially his return quality. And now here he is against little De Minaur. Since he beat big De Minaur at the USOP, we’ve got a bit of a reference point! To keep it short: I don’t rate the Dutchman’s chances much, and I don’t think there’ll be much value on this match. As we know, in Shanghai we’ll be paying very close attention to the players’ physical condition. And from that standpoint, Félix is one of the best. Slow conditions? Also good for him to set up his game and attack. If he keeps that return quality too, it’s over. De Jong can put up a big match against the big guys, and we’re never completely safe from a Félix choke just when everything’s going well.
