How do you go against it?
Cazaux has been stringing matches together since Roland Garros, improving day by day, and just thrashed Mochi. Do we still have a value bet here?
Honestly, it’s going to be tough. I’m not going to repeat the areas where Arthur has improved—we’ve analyzed that enough throughout the Asian swing. The only question for me is: do today’s conditions change anything? Low bounce, medium/fast, indoor... I’d even say it could make things worse. Except for Mochi’s slice, but yeah... People often say the loser has a much better chance of beating the guy if they play again not long after, because he’s picked up crucial info. But here, there’s too much info to take in lol. And anyway, Arthur’s been impressively consistent since Roland. Why would he stop now? Fatigue... and only that. His matches weren’t long in Jinan; it’s more the volume of matches in Asia, and the travel + jet lag from just 2 days ago. And then you have to get back into it... Anyway, we have to make the call.
