And they have both played some good matches since! I found both of their first-round matches quite good, although both of them faced opponents who were a bit physically limited toward the end of the matches. Majchrzak has been particularly impressive for me lately; he is playing at such a fast pace right now, aiming to take time away from the opponents. He can take the return very early, especially with his BH, and then close down the net immediately. Korda was able to exploit Popyrin's BH in his previous match, but it will be tougher here. It's important for Majchrzak to stay offensive and not let Korda settle here. We know that Korda loves to take control of rallies and construct the points; he is excellent at this, and that makes him very good against a player who gives him enough time to do so. Korda's last three losses are to Wu, Fritz, and Bergs... three players who have enough aggression to not let him take control! It will be interesting to see how Korda adjusts here; he can become a bit "stiff" and overwhelmed at times. Still, he is the player with the bigger serve and the bigger weapons, and if he can execute his serve +1 patterns well, he has a good chance to get into Majchrzak's serve games also, considering the return quality he has...
