Watch out, Rublo!
You’re gonna have to step up your game, ’cause there’s some serious stuff coming your way!!
Alright, I won’t insult your intelligence by saying Rublo’s in a pretty dull patch right now. We’re used to it—he goes through these phases every season. And usually he doesn’t bounce back just like that, out of the blue! He has to “grind” little by little in his matches, scrape through when he’s running on fumes, rebuild his confidence bit by bit... So yeah, facing a guy fresh out of qualies and already hot, I’d have been wary. But this isn’t just anyone! I don’t know if you remember, but old Feanrley had a remarkable indoor Challenger season last year to break, I think, into the top 100. His game is tailor-made for it because he counterpunches really well. That’s what allowed him to take out pretty comfortably a man who was in form and chasing ATP points to make the main draw of the AO 2026—namely, Yannick Hanfmann. And Rublo is kind of the same style of player in the sense that he attacks from the baseline and doesn’t have a million other options. I’m going to watch the opening odds closely because to me there will definitely be some value on this match...
