Sinner tired?

Not at his best in his final against Zverev, Sinner still pulled through by digging deep, and even for him the back-to-back grind isn’t simple.

No injury, just some little cramps because of the match pressure and intensity. Once again Sinner showed some physical limits, but even in that state he’s still above 98% of the tour. I’m not really worried about him—he recovers fast and, above all, he’s a war machine. He picks his tournaments and Paris is one of them; he’ll be there. It also has to be said that Bergs might be even more tired than Jannik. The Belgian was cooked after his Asian swing and needed a breather. He didn’t play a tournament last week, and in his return against Michelsen he played in phases: the first set was great, with good energy and intensity, then he fell apart in the second with a big physical dip—nothing was coming off the racquet anymore—and he took an MTO because he wasn’t feeling well. Yet right after he found energy again and the crowd really helped by firing him up; he finished the match with crazy energy, but without the crowd I think he would’ve been out. Bergs likes playing top players, he often puts in good matches, but there’s top players and then there’s TOP players. Sinner is in the second category, and I don’t really see Zizou having the game to hurt him. We’re moving to center court with a much less fired-up crowd this time, Bergs will have to manage on his own, and given the intensity of the match he’s facing, I don’t see how he gets through it..
