Starting to Find Form

However, as we all know by now, only one will emerge victorious! Kecmanovic has been solid all around... serve, return, forehand, and backhand. Something to keep in mind is that he has looked good against two opponents who had been struggling in their last few matches, not in great form. That is the kind of opponent that has been beatable for Kecmanovic lately. When he is facing better opponents, he tends to be the one who folds first. Despite having to play a deciding set in both his matches, I like what I've seen from Korda this week. He got off to a rough start against Dzumhur but managed to recover and completely dominate the latter stages of the match against a tricky opponent. Now, he gets a matchup that should be rather good for him. Korda excels against Solid Baseliners (like Kecmanovic) because while they have a balanced all-around game, they lack a really strong specific strength. Lazily, you could say that Korda is a better version of Kecmanovic. Kecmanovic has great groundstrokes, but Korda has elite groundstrokes. Both of them struggle under pressure and in big moments. Miomir does not really have a serve or returning advantage, and his movement is fine, but not great. As in many matches in these fast conditions, it comes down to which player will be able to dictate the match. Kecmanovic has struggled against Korda in their past meetings... it will be interesting to see how he approaches this match. I'm expecting him to come out really aggressively; he can not let Korda take control! Sebi has already started slowly in both his other matches. Do we see a similar pattern, or will he be fully focused from the start, in a usually comfortable matchup...?
