Halys is going to win this match (in my opinion)

Halys is an offensive player, capable of doing a lot of damage when he manages to impose his game. The Frenchman relies on a powerful serve and early ball striking that allow him to dictate the rally from the very first shots. In his recent tournaments, Halys has been genuinely impressive and has only lost to players in great form, Nakashima and Halys. When Halys finds his rhythm as he has right now, he is, in my opinion, a really dangerous player. On the other hand, he can run into difficulties against opponents who are able to absorb his power and force him to play one more shot, which is not really the Chilean’s profile.

On the other side, Tabilo comes in with a slightly more complete and more patient profile, but I find him in much worse form. I found him very disappointing against Mmoh in Hong Kong, who offered him a completely different style, and he was also nowhere to be found on the return, which is not reassuring before playing Halys. Then he was disappointing again in Auckland, where he led 6–1 3–1 against Darderi before completely fading and losing in 3 sets. Not very reassuring before going into a potentially long battle in a best-of-five format.
