A major goal achieved, what is the next one?

There might have been some concerns that Bublik would struggle to keep his 2025 form and professionalism, going into 2026. Well, there's still a lot to go, but he is certainly off to a good start, playing great and getting the title in Hong Kong... and entering the top ten! Bublik has spoken about how he dislikes the Australian hardcourt swing as well as the North American one, mainly due to the humidity. His results have backed that up; the last two years have been first-round, straight-sets losses to Nagal and Cerundolo. Will the "new" Bublik be a bit more motivated to play with some more effort, or will the satisfaction of having reached his top 10 goal overshadow it? Well, I believe in the former, at least to a certain degree.

Normally, Brooksby is a tricky matchup for a lot of players. However, his first two matches would suggest that he is not even close to his best. Struggling against James Watt (who) and then getting manhandled by (a good) Baez. His serve has been very vulnerable, and we have seen a lot of cheap errors we normally don't see from Jenson. He is a great returner and a clever player, but the vast difference in form is a major factor. Also, playing on Sunday, the first day of the main draw, gives him less time to find some answers/improvements. Bublik should have the firepower to prevent this version of Brooksby from making this a drawn-out and scrappy battle...
