Magnificent victory from Duckworth, full of courage in the night to finally overcome Prizmic in 5 sets. He was outplayed, he held firm, and he ultimately took control. Huge congratulations to him.
It was much more straightforward for Sinner, who benefited from Gaston’s retirement after just two short sets. Obviously a hugely one-sided match here; is there anything we can do about it? From my point of view, Duckworth doesn’t have any particular weapons to withstand the Sinner machine, so it won’t be easy.
