Zizou is back!!!

Zizou preferred not to play the Davis Cup in order to treat a hip injury he picked up in Australia. A wise decision for the young Belgian, whose game is energy-consuming and who needs to be at 100% physically.

Marozsan, on the other hand, did play and lost a very tight match on indoor clay in Hungary against Ethan Quinn. So a change of surface for him and a quick turnaround.

So we’ve got a match with quite a few unknowns: Zizou’s level of recovery/form and Fabian’s ability to back up matches. On paper, then, the match looks finely balanced between two players who are roughly at the same level and have a similar ranking.

It’s worth noting that Fabian leads the H2H 3–0, including twice on clay in 2025 in straight sets, for whatever that’s worth.
