It keeps going right after the Davis Cup
Two players involved with their country this weekend, it's never easy to play again so quickly.
We had left Stefanos after another disappointment at the AO in a match he finished hampered. He reassured a bit by winning his two Davis Cup matches against two low-level opponents.
Rinder has also just won his two Davis Cup singles to give France the victory; he’s much less used to all this and even if it gives confidence, we know how energy-draining Davis Cup weekends are.
They won’t play until Wednesday, so both of them have a bit of time to come back down to earth and get ready. In terms of the match-up, I see in Rinder a player who has all the weapons to bother the Greek.
He serves well, he attacks a lot and he’s able to come to the net, everything you need to be able to exploit Tsitsipas’ weaknesses. But the Frenchman’s game requires a lot of energy and the surface is slow here, which would rather be an argument in favor of the Greek and could limit the Frenchman’s strengths.
