Chill analysis?
Spizziri has really been showing a solid level since the start of the season and for me he’d even beat a good Duckworth 8 times out of 10...
Given that Duck is coming back from the Davis Cup played on high-altitude clay in Quito and had to take at least an 8-hour flight to get back to Dallas 2–3 days ago, that doesn’t inspire much confidence. In terms of match-up, Spizzirri’s quality as a baseliner and the disruptive effect of his forehand give me plenty of reasons to believe in him. The only doubt is that Spizzirri skipped the San Diego Challenger for an unknown reason. But I don’t remember any physical issue at the AO, and it might be that he’s starting to prioritize bigger tournaments given his level. So I think there’s very little risk.
