Local advantage?

The Golden Swing is often a minefield for Europeans, so is Barrena taking advantage of it?

The Argentine is WC this week, I’m discovering him and I caught up on a few Challenger matches he played this year. I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t think he was that good, he’s a typical clay-court/Argentinian profile with poor serve quality but he fights well from the baseline. It’s still pretty light overall, especially on the backhand side, I didn’t see a dangerous guy at all..

Kopriva is a good clay-courter as well, he had some big results on it last year and was just waiting for this to get some ambition back this season, I also felt he played well during the Australian Open. I see him as much better and more complete than Barrena, but we know playing in South America is never easy and Kopriva is just discovering the Golden Swing. I don’t know how much that can change the outcome of this match but it’s something to take into account.
