Who believes it?

Hard to believe in a Cerundolo defeat...

Cerundolo is the number 1 seed in this tournament, he’s already reached two finals and he rarely disappoints here. That’s not the case for everyone; sometimes playing at home you just feel too much pressure, but Fran’ doesn’t! His track record here is reassuring, but what about his start to the year? Well, that too! He especially showed a very high level at the Australian Open but completely missed the mark against Zverev. So basically we’ve got a local player who always performs well in this tournament and on top of that he’s in form — it’ll take something really huge to knock him out.

And “really huge” is not Dellien… The Bolivian is a tricky player to deal with, comfortable on clay and let’s say a solid reference point. He’s rather in good form but plays a lot of Challengers; then again, it’s good to have a lot of matches, and he’s coming through qualifying after beating a weak Dzumhur. What I mean is that Cerundolo is playing his first match of the season on clay and a slow start wouldn’t be surprising. However, I think his game is perfectly suited to destroying Dellien once he’s locked in: he absorbs pace extremely well and his forehand is one of the best on tour. If he happens to fall behind early and his ML goes up, I’ll jump on it.
