Here we have a player I generally like to bet against: Giovanni Mpetschi Perricard. The Frenchman’s profile, built around an extremely powerful serve and very explosive patches of play, also produces tons of unforced errors, and I feel like he’s not progressing. The flaws remain the same, and I find him really too limited to shine at this level for the moment. On top of that, the relatively slow conditions at the ATP Doha tournament are not ideal for maximizing his main weapon. Fewer free points on serve, more rallies to construct: this context can slightly smooth out his natural advantage.

Bergs is still a player capable of some very strong stretches of play. He puts a lot of energy, intensity, and emotion into his matches. But this constant involvement can also make him unstable, with sometimes noticeable swings in his level. In a matchup against a big server, that inconsistency can be costly, especially in key moments. In terms of head-to-heads, the advantage is clear: Mpetschi Perricard leads 2–0 against Zizou Bergs. Overall, Bergs doesn’t seem to be the ideal candidate to go and take down the Frenchman in these conditions. Even if the slower pace can slightly rebalance things, Zizou’s inconsistency worries me here.
