Korda easy?

It's true that from here, from a distance, I’m really having a hard time seeing McDonald’s coming out on top here today...

Indeed, and for a few fairly simple reasons. First, McDo is coming back from an injury picked up in Quimper and had to skip Dallas. Next, if he went to play Quimper, it was clearly to rebuild some confidence. Because he’s not playing very well at the moment, and when that happens, he tends to be a bit more nonchalant in my opinion. Then, his rhythmic baseline game, which he dictates from his line, is perfect for the talented Korda. And if it’s windy today, that’ll throw him off a bit as well. On the other side of the net, Korda is playing good tennis again mainly because he’s mentally more stable. I might have believed in a kind of mini defeatist mindset after his loss to Fritz when he was leading 5–2 in the deciding tie-break. But I think instead that he’s in a phase where he’s starting to move forward again. In short, apart from this minor mental risk, and maybe a lot of wind that could level things out, my opinion here is crystal clear.
