I backed Carabelli for his whole week in Rosario and a bit in Buenos, shall we do it again?

The risk when you have a good run with a player is to start forcing things and wanting to back him all the time. Carabelli lost to Baez and I had backed him; he had set points but he was spent afterwards, I still think the bet was fine. Now that he’s finally had a few days of rest, we’re really waiting for him in Rio to defend last year’s semifinal. Conditions he likes, he says it’s heavier than in Buenos, that he can hit much harder without having to worry about controlling the ball. It’s true that for a clay-courter he likes to hit big, I honestly find him impressive and I actually watched the Rosario final against Burruchaga!

It was one-way traffic, Burruchaga lacks the power to hit through him and his favorite weapon (the drop shot) doesn’t work well against Carabelli, who reads the game well and rarely gets caught. Total domination. I’m expecting another Carabelli win in conditions he likes and against an opponent he can handle, but I won’t be forcing it on his ML if the odds are low though.
