What's Dzumhur's problem?

Unrecognizable for several weeks now, Dzumhur seems completely flat and far from his 2025 level.

Defeat 6/4 6/1 against Dellien in Buenos, I watched the match and honestly it was bad, especially in the second set where he completely faded. Ok, Dellien played really well but Dzumhur showed nothing and I feel like physically he’s paying the price for his previous season where he put in a lot. In any case, he’s fighting less than before and making a lot more errors, which is a shame because in Rio I really liked his profile. It’s heavy, humid, you have to drive the ball forward and he’s got the right profile to defend like steel and make his opponents go crazy. But given how he’s arriving here, it’ll be hard to trust him.

Martinez was also in a slump before arriving in Buenos Aires and he managed to steady himself, he got through two rounds and played well with finally the return of his hard-hitting tennis on the forehand side. He’s comfortable at the net and in the short game, it’s not exactly the same profile but I see quite a few similarities between him and Dzumhur, it’s going to be a solid baseline battle anyway and there will be drop shots too. 2/1 Martinez in the H2H, nothing very telling, it’s fine, I’m not giving a big edge to either of them, it’s mostly a question of current form and right now it’s Martinez who is providing the most guarantees. Be careful not to price him too low either, yes he’s the favorite but still.
