Already at 2.25?

Atmane wins one match and now he’s at 2.25 against Cobolli. There’d better be some explanations!

It’s pretty simple to understand: Cobolli is going through a rough patch right now, while Terence just looks happy again on American soil, plain and simple. What’s going on with the Italian? I have no idea, but since the start of the season, it’s really been a struggle. He hits hard, yells on impact, gives everything, but the ball isn’t going through the court like it used to and, above all, he makes errors too often and too quickly. On the slightly slow and windy courts of Delray, that really isn’t very reassuring. A fit Atmane with a somewhat unorthodox game could very well do damage again. Terence knows how to dig in under these conditions. He puts a lot of spin on his forehand and can really get under Cobolli’s skin with his power, his lefty angles, and the quality of his serve. He’s already beaten him too, during his big run in Cincinnati, so that’s good for his confidence.
