Cobo’s comeback?
The Italian trains a lot and puts his heart into his matches to turn things around, but we’re not there yet!
Indeed, Cobolli benefited from a match-up that was rather in his favor against Atmane, in the sense that his primary mission was to contain the Frenchman’s power and fire. Here he’s going to have to create and take the initiative, and that’s a different story. Wong is also exuding more and more composure. That composure is gradually replacing his youthful, dream-filled exuberance. He’s simply at a higher level than the Italian right now. The question is trying to guess to what extent Cobolli will be able to raise his level of play here, because of course, we know he’s capable of it. Personally, I think he’ll do better, but it still won’t be perfect. The slightly slower surface allows him to set up his game a bit more. But Wong serves well, and in the key moments I trust him more today. I can easily see a tight match with Wong coming through in the end. Let’s look at the odds!
