A very tight match

Popyrin arrives in Dubai with a bit more confidence than in recent weeks. In Doha, the Australian finally got his first win on the board thanks to a very favorable draw. Admittedly, the context helped him, but a win is still a win, especially after a long rough patch. After that, he put up a decent fight against Jannik Sinner, delivering a serious and tightly contested match, which confirms that his game and his attitude on court have clearly improved.

On the other side of the net, Majchrzak lost in the first round in Doha to Arthur Fils, but without disgracing himself.
