Burruchaga the obvious pick?

The Argentinian seems in good enough shape to pick off a young European who’s just discovering the Golden Swing – win on experience?

Moller is a little talent we like to follow even if, technically, what he does is really weird. He’s got an incredibly good and solid backhand though, that’s really his best shot! I struggle a bit to follow him often, I don’t really have a good handle on him so I have to be cautious! He plays a lot on clay anyway, that famous Golden Swing phase when you’re young is basically mandatory, and a certain Fils, for example, really struggled over there. For now Moller has only played one match against Passaro and he didn’t do badly at all, especially since the Italian was actually playing really well. I think Moller will play another good match tomorrow and show a good level of tennis against a real clay-courter.

Burruchaga is pretty good for the moment, no big performance but he’s doing his matches and anyway he’s still a tough player to beat on clay, he’s going to give it his all as always! I do find him a bit weak on the return though, that’s something that worries me a bit at altitude even if Moller isn’t a big server, he struggles a bit on the first shots and doesn’t defend like steel, he’s rather good when he’s on top or level in the rally, especially with a nice quality of drop shot.

Even if I give him a clear edge in terms of experience and how he manages this kind of match, I’m not sure that in terms of pure level of play he’s far ahead of Moller, quite the opposite in fact..
