Purge announced?

The Pole is a very tactical player, she uses a lot of variations (slices, drop shots) to break the opponent’s rhythm. She’s an excellent defender. She sometimes has this gift of being able to hold her own against any player for a certain stretch. But in the long run, we always see the same pattern and she doesn’t achieve much. A bit like the uncle you invite to a party but who will systematically ruin it :) The conditions are good for this type of player, who will have time to set up her shots and apply XXL variation. Backing her as an underdog and as a favorite is really not the same thing!

Jessica is a clay-courter at heart who is shaping up nicely on hard courts, and with some success! An athletic baseliner, with a nice topspin forehand and solid defense from the back of the court. Both came through an easy first round and are ready for battle.

If we take a look at the stats, the Pole is a bit better in all areas of the game but confirms her breaks more often. The Spaniard shines thanks to her returning skills. To be honest, this looks like a really annoying match to watch :)
