Norrie or not Norrie?
The Brit is expected here!
With his victory at Indian Wells during the Covid period, I was hoping that Norrie would be overrated by the market, but that’s not the case. The Brit is at 1.65, so not that low. I understand the odds, because McDonald has been gaining momentum over the last few matches, and even his matches in the tournament just before Indian Wells were very interesting, with a powerful baseline game and a good feel for the ball, really good timing. In general, in their head-to-heads, it’s the Brit who comes out on top with a favorable match-up. So, should we take advantage of this slightly high price on the Brit? That’s an important question, knowing that he has gotten us used to excelling in big tournaments, so we shouldn’t pay too much attention to his level of play in the smaller events. He’s someone who depends a lot on motivation, and it will be high in this tournament that he likes, so I think it’s tempting to go for the Brit’s moneyline at 1.65. Even if this match could be tight and won in 3 sets by the Brit, we should take advantage of odds that are a bit high, and why not pair this bet with an over on games.
