It just keeps coming!
Barely recovered from his emotions, Jack now has to face a Russian wall that’s probably way too hard to break through in his current state, in our opinion...
And yes, the Moscow wall has struck again against Michelsen. For me there are two scenarios with Daniil in these slower conditions: either he plays a guy who attacks, and then he’s very strong in wall mode, or he plays a guy who’s even more defensive than he is, and/or very mobile, and/or makes very few unforced errors, and then it becomes more difficult for him because he doesn’t have the power to make enough of a difference.
Today, he’s playing a Draper who gave an enormous amount yesterday against Djoko, physically as well as emotionally. Given that the Brit already had little drops in intensity in his previous matches, now we can legitimately be a bit worried for him.
The Brit’s style would be more on the side of the type that bothers Daniil in these conditions because Draper plays a bit more in safety mode “I make you crack” than in “I attack and move forward” mode. But with this match against Djoko again, and with him only very recently back on tour, it might be tough… Is anyone on Draper?
