Tabilo got his tennis and his fitness back in 2026, his golden swing was great and he made a good impression at Indian Wells despite the tight schedule and fatigue, he ran into a red-hot Medvedev and it was unplayable. He skipped Cap Cana without giving a reason, I see that as a smart choice because he’s given a lot over the last few weeks and now he’ll arrive fresh for Miami, he likes this part of the season and wants to ride his momentum to do something. A few good matches in Miami in the past, with his quality of serve and his game we can expect a Tabilo who’s hard to beat again this week.

For Comesana it’s much more complicated this season, I can count his good matches on the fingers of one hand… Normally he’s a guy who plays very well but loses the matches right at the end, except this season it’s almost only bad matches, his serve is kind of letting him down and in the rallies it’s a disaster, especially on the backhand side where he’s really struggling. He’s going to have to figure out how to avoid getting that side pounded by Tabilo’s lefty forehand and above all find his tennis again in every other area because honestly it’s disastrous.

The Chilean is in great form, he’s got a potentially nice match‑up for him and I hardly have any arguments for Comesana. A big match from the Argentinian would already be almost a little surprise, he will wake up at some point but I don’t feel like it’s going to be right now, everything points toward going with Tabilo.
