Right, we’re already going to play Zachary Svajda, and calm down a bit ;).

We’ve been following Moise Kouamé quite closely at Tennis Metrics since the Montpellier tournament. I call him Soldier Kouamé. He’s a player who, excuse the expression, has balls. He’s not impressed by anyone, he goes to battle, and he executes everything he’s told to do. In 2026, he has ONLY played matches on French indoor courts, and I think he’s already made good progress. From there to beating Zachary Svajda? In the current state of things, no. Zachary is playing at a better level on outdoor hard courts in the US. So, I don’t know how much it’s worth, but I saw a very strange Svajda at the very end of the match last night. He wasn’t moving as well and did everything he could to finish the match quickly by firing rockets to hit winners as fast as possible. When I link that with his second set at Indian Wells against Foki, in which his level drops enormously, and the fact that he didn’t play Phoenix or Cap Cana, I’m thinking he might have some physical issue that would be worth exploiting here.
