Skeptical, but it’s hard to resist going for him anyway at first glance; he came through qualies being serious and just played a pretty good match against Hanfmann. Small dip in the second set but he turned it back on in the last set, though he still has big blackouts; when his game clicks it’s insane. He already knows how to do everything and he’s got a fucking great mentality, he looks built to play big matches. The problem is his matches are inconsistent, so seeing him lose tomorrow against a LL when nobody expects it wouldn’t even be surprising!

Well, a bit surprising anyway because we’re talking about a lucky loser who’s going downhill, Vukic is struggling this season. Only wins in tiebreaks and clear losses the rest of the time, he’s a bit all over the place and even me, who’s often keen on the back, I’ve got no desire to do it at all right now. He’ll wake up one day though...

I saw Hanfmann as a bigger danger for Jodar and he played a match that convinced me, I think he’s got a great chance to win again tomorrow, whether in two or three sets, with his usual dips!
