Korda is doing better, Carlito showed who’s boss. Now it’s time for the big guys!

And 4–1 for Carlito! But if we take away the 2021 ATP Finals, the matches were played in worse conditions for Korda, namely 3 times on clay and once on grass, Carlito’s two best surfaces.

The Spaniard played a very focused match against Fonseca, and at the same time swept away the demons from his loss last year against Goffin. His time off with his family seems to have really recharged him. On Korda’s side, it really looks like his back pain is gone. His match against Carabelli was a masterclass. This guy does whatever he wants with the ball, it’s crazy.

Now we know his big problem: his movement (now that things are better in his head ;)). He’ll have to dare, take risks, like Rinderknech does against Carlito. He knows how to do it, it’s just a matter of doing it now. Plus, he’s in good form. But do we believe in it? Hard to say...
