The American is on fire, with a 7-game winning streak going!

Titled in Quinn, we were wondering how he would react this week and the answer is clear: like a boss. He’s riding his confidence and his title to trust himself even more, he’s playing his risky tennis at 200% and since he’s feeling the ball so well it’s incredible. On these fast courts and with his serve quality he can dictate play and really go for it as they say, he moves forward and puts his opponents under pressure. After an easy win over Hurkacz he did it again against Ruud without getting broken, still just as clutch. He’s the kind of red‑hot player you absolutely don’t want to face.

Pretty much the opposite of Lehecka, right? The Czech is going through a rough spell, his matches are poor in terms of content and he wins very few of them, every victory is hard-fought. He did get his head a bit straighter with a first‑round win over Kouame but it was far from perfect. I can credit him with the fact that tactically he came in with an interesting game plan, he came to the net more often than usual against the Frenchman’s good court coverage. Fast/low‑bounce conditions are often where he can express himself too, but the rest is pretty average; every time the level of opposition is even slightly high, it’s a real battle. I’m not too keen on seeing him against a good server either, he doesn’t return very well and gets frustrated when the game is choppy, I personally don’t have a good feeling about him right now, but he’s still a top player who’s just in a slump, he’ll wake up sooner or later.
