And against a Diallo who just took 2 and 2 against Molcan, you’d think it would take a miracle for Diallo to get through!

Well, it’s a totally different match-up for our friend Diallo this time, because Fonseca isn’t the type to hide or hold back. But I’m still not worried about the Brazilian in terms of match-up, because guys who hit through the ball, that’s right up his alley. On the other hand, in Rio, the lousy quality of his serve really bothered him. Or, to put it another way, his returning quality really wasn’t good. But then again, his overall level of play wasn’t great either, you might say. At least he already has a bit of clay in his legs. Diallo has only played one match, and that was a few days ago in Bucharest, in the worst possible conditions for him: heavy clay with a big grinder on the other side of the net. Every match can be very different for the Canadian, but overall this season, it hasn’t been great. Monte Carlo clay will be a bit better for him, but it’s not exactly fast either, even if the weather’s nice. And you know what, anyway I like the Brazilian’s ability to claw his way through matches with his grinta. So apart from looking at an over on games, I don’t really see much else to do here.
