Fit men!

Two men in good form, with one player who is managing his season very well, better than usual, avoiding dips in physical intensity between tournaments and playing smart. He's putting matches together nicely and proved it here against the Hungarian, but the Hungarian was off his game, he didn't play at his normal level, so I'm taking this win with a grain of salt. As for the other player, he's been in good form for a few matches now, especially in Miami and now Monte Carlo. I think that even if the match volume isn’t very big, you have to factor him in. He’s set to perform well for a few more tournaments. I saw him up close in his first match against an American, Nava, who is not easy to handle. Hats off to him for getting through it, because last year in Monte Carlo he lost his cool against Musetti, struggling to maintain his focus and motivation. That wasn’t necessarily the case against Nava, but it will be more of an issue against Tabilo, who knows how to be patient and make his opponent play, intelligently. So caution is needed, but I think seeing him as the favorite, with this new successful spell where he’s playing at a very high level, makes sense. His odds at 70 seem very logical to me.
